DATA EQUALITY focuses on data-driven discrimination and how to prevent this through multi-agency cooperation. It aims to develop a shared European methodology for CSOs, LEAs, and judiciary agencies that will allow them to cooperate more effectively in the collection, management analysis and exchange of information regarding the phenomenon of data discrimination, at the local, national and European levels.

The project aims to target the practitioners active in the collection, analysis, use and dissemination of data belonging to the two macro-sectors on which the project focuses: Public authorities, in particular local law enforcement agencies (LEA) and judicial bodies, and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). The methodology developed, with its components, will be potentially available in all EU countries and non-EU countries in the Western Balkans. During the project its development will focus on Southern Europe and Western Balkans.

The project will train to the use of the new methodology, including its unbiased and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)-compliant OSINT component, officials belonging to law enforcement agencies and judicial bodies, and members of CSOs. The trainees will come from the countries involved in the project: Greece, Italy, Spain and Albania.
